Specialist historical TV and film extras from
Historical Film Services is the filming division of EventPlan Limited.

We maintain an extensive database of top groups and individuals
interested in working as background actors and extras in historical
reconstructions, drama or other productions. So there’s
no need for you to spend time searching for the right people when we have this
information at our fingertips.
Production companies often opt for using re-enactment groups for historical reconstructions, but there are a bewildering number and variety of groups to choose from, with hundreds of societies in Britain alone. But as re-enactment is a voluntary activity, standards vary enormously from group to group. Historical authenticity and client satisfaction are not always priorities with some, so choosing an inappropriate group can lead to a sub-standard result. Fortunately, there is no need to risk time-consuming or expensive mistakes. Just consult Historic Film Services*. We can remove any worries about whether the re-enactors will be up to the job. Work with us and you know they will be. Historical eras recreated include from the ancient world to World War Two and beyond. So whether you require a Stone Age man or company of German Wehrmacht of 1944, we can source the appropriate specialist extras.
We hold details of hundreds of re-enactors and extras interested in TV and film work. Most can supply appropriate clothing and kit for key historical periods, or simply adapt to costumes supplied to them from a production company. If you need skilled extras, consult Historic Film Services to fulfill your needs. As well as sourcing them we can organise, train and direct them on request, just as we did for
The Battle of Orgreave, turning 800 re-enactors and extras into very believable police and miners in just one weekend.Click the links for recent credits or photographs of recent productions.
