English Civil War shoot

Historical Film Services can arrange all sorts of authentic period meals (that can be eaten) for TV and film productions. From the Ancient Greeks to modern day, our specialists can provide pretty much all you'd need, to include correct tableware, glasses, cutlery etc. If extras are required, we would also make sure they were appropriately trained in the correct table etiquette of the time.

This meal (staged for ZigZag Productions) would be suitable for these gentry and senior officers during the era of the English Civil War, in stark contrast to the much more simple fayre served to soldiers and ordinary folk (also recreated for this shoot). In this scene, one of ZigZag's presenters is taught the quite complicated table etiquette of the time.

Our specialist extras brought with them all the skills needed to accurately recreate a slice of C17th life including cooking and food preparation, with button perfect period clothing, excellent military skills, and crucially, the right attitude for working within film productions.
