The Battle of Orgreave

After one of their charges, the short shield officers withdraw back to the new police line, coming under a hail of missiles (including the “stone” at the top of the picture, caught by the camera in mid-flight). Miners follow up and “scuffles” occur. The action is captured by one of Hollywood director Mike Figgis’ camera teams, in the thick of the battle.
