The
Battle of Orgreave

Actor Tony Kirkham played a cameo role as Assistant Chief Constable Anthony Clement, police commander at Orgreave. Tony closely resembled the ACC and recreated key announcements that Clement made with his bullhorn during the battle. As in 1984, "Clement” was the only officer to take his jacket off although, unlike in 1984, the freezing weather during filming was hardly conducive to shirtsleeve order! In the first phase of the two-take recreation & shoot, actual tactical command of the police was by Philipp Elliot-Wright (more usually found commanding American Civil War Union troops), in response to cues from the overall Event Director Howard Giles.
