The Battle of Orgreave

Rehearsal time: The bulk of the Police line consisted of hundreds of ordinary “bobbies”, formed by numerous re-enactment societies and local extras. Here they practice forming a tight cordon, used to support the long shield line, to be deployed to their front. The crucial role of overall commander of 16 PSUs (Police Support Units) of non shield officers fell to Jonathan Taylor, Lord General of the English Civil War Society’s king’s Army.
