Barbara Giles (an experienced rider and horse handler) from Historical Film Services* leads a horse though a street scene. Throughout the filming of this pilot episode and prime time, none too serious BBC 1 series Historyonics, we sourced specialist walk-ons, supporting artistes and re-enactors as required, as well as helping to ensure that clothing, uniforms and weaponry were as accurate as possible.
On 7 December 2004 writer and presenter Nick Knowles received a Royal Television Award for the series, screened during the Spring.
