Historyonics - Dick Turpin

Richard Rutherford-Moore tries out a comfortable wall during the year 1739. Richard was one of a number of Historical Film Services' * supporting cast taking part in Dick Turpin, one episode of Historyonics, the none too serious 6 - part historical documentary series for BBC 1, written and presented by Nick (DIY SOS) Knowles. Extremely funny yet true to history, each programme takes a quirky look at key characters and events from British history. The pilot programme, Guy Fawkes, proved a huge success not only with viewers interested in history, but also those who would never watch a historical documentary given a choice.

On 7 December 2004 Nick received a Royal Television Award for the series, screened during the Spring.
