Filming 1066

Gary Mehrtens and Howard Giles as Saxon nobles in 1066, an episode of Historyonics, the forthcoming (none too serious) historical documentary series for prime time BBC 1 series (as can be deduced by the wigs)! Historical Film Services* assisted with on-set co-ordination as appropriate, sourced specialist walk-ons, supporting artistes and re-enactors as required, as well as helping to ensure that clothing, uniforms and weaponry were as accurate as possible, even if the wigs were deliberately dodgy. On 7 December 2004 writer and presenter Nick Knowles received a Royal Television Award for the series, screened during the Spring.
