1. Our specialist extras usually come "ready for action",
clothed, equipped and appropriately trained for the role(s) needed. So unless you plan
something very unusual, you won't have to shell out separately for costumes,
weaponry, on-set preparation and (as appropriate) training.
2. With us, historical authenticity and presentation costs no more than substandard "cheapy" reconstructions, and indeed can be more cost effective.
3. We set extremely high health and safety standards - and enjoy a spotless record. Our specialist extras are appropriately trained experts - especially when weaponry is involved - not "ordinary" extras put into a particular costume for the first time and briefly trained on set. Naturally, we are fully insured, as are all of our specialist extras.
4. Concerned about the visual implications of HD? We only supply specialist extras with button perfect costumes and superbly crafted weapons & equipment, so the problem simply doesn't apply.
5. We are the film and TV division of EventPlan Limited, specialists in live historical recreations. So it may not be necessary to set up special reconstructions for TV when you may be able to film what you need at one of EventPlan's high-quality historical events. Venues are usually extremely picturesque and appropriate to the eras depicted.

Our most ambitious shoot
involved us sourcing and co-ordinating 800 specialist extras, our smallest just
two, so we are extremely flexible! We particularly enjoy staging large battle
scenes but are just as happy arranging something rather smaller and quieter.
Sourcing of specialist extras, actors and supporting artistes through the Historical Film Services Database. With hundreds of specialist extras on our books, most with button perfect historical costume, we are extremely well placed to meet your needs. And because our extras arrive on set fully trained, production teams are constantly amazed at how much can be achieved in so little time. A typical comment received on a recent major shoot was "We could never have achieved this with ordinary extras in the time available, your guys were simply fantastic".
Sourcing of accurate cavalry, vehicles, props, clothing, armour & weaponry. It costs no more to get it right than to get it wrong and indeed, it could work out cheaper too. Historical consultancy and advice on many aspects of history, including battles, campaigns and generals.
We also offer scripting, narration and on-screen presentation by military historian Howard Giles. With a lively yet evocative style, Howard has informed and entertained hundreds of thousands of visitors watching live re-enactments all over the country, as well as scripting and narrating videos.
